How a Night Works

Simple. Human. Different.

No keynotes. No panels. No slides. Just a small group of helpers, one table, and a rhythm that turns strangers into the people you call first.

The Format

One table. One hot seat at a time.

Every gathering runs the same rhythm, so you always know what to expect. A small group comes together in person. One person at a time takes the hot seat. The group does the rest. It is not a workshop you sit through. It is a conversation you are part of from the first minute.

The heart of it is fifteen minutes. Ten minutes on what you are great at and can teach the room. Five minutes on where you are stuck and what you need. Then the table goes to work matching what you have to what someone else is missing.

The Four Beats

What happens, step by step.

1

Pull up a chair

A small group of helpers comes together in person. Casual and warm. No badges, no pitch decks, no pressure. We keep the table small on purpose, so every voice fits and nobody hides in the back.

2

Take the hot seat

One person gets fifteen minutes. The first ten, they share what they are great at and what they can teach the room. The last five, they share where they are stuck and what they need. Then the next person takes the seat. Everyone gets a turn over time.

3

The match happens

Someone at that table has exactly what you need. And you have exactly what someone else has been missing. This is not networking. It is matching. Strength to struggle, helper to helper. The room points you to the right person, the right program, the right next call.

4

Leave with more than you brought

A new contact. A solved problem. A fresh idea. And the quiet relief of knowing you are not doing this alone. You walk out with names worth saving and at least one connection worth the trip.

The Rhythm of a Night

Tight in. Tight out.

Here is roughly how the clock runs. The exact times flex with the size of the table, but the shape stays the same every time.

First 15 min

Arrive and settle

Pull up a chair, grab something to drink, and meet the faces around the table. Warm and unhurried.

Next 10 min

Set the table

A quick round so everyone knows who is here and what they bring. Names, work, and one line on why you came.

The core

Hot seats

One helper at a time. Fifteen minutes each. Ten on strengths, five on struggles. The group matches, suggests, and connects. This is the part that earns the trip.

Last 10 min

Close the loop

Trade contacts, lock in the follow-ups, and name who is calling whom. Nothing useful gets left on the table.

Hard stop

You're done on time

The clock is sacred. When we say it ends, it ends. You get back to your night knowing it was worth it.

We Respect Your Time

Hard start. Hard stop.
Every time.

⏱️

If it doesn't earn its place, you never have to come back.

We know how it goes. You would come, but there is always one more fire to put out. So here is the promise. Sessions are tight, the clock is sacred, and you leave with at least one connection worth the trip. No filler. No fluff. Just helpers helping helpers, then home.

A Few Ground Rules

What keeps the table honest.

Come to give, not just to get

The table works because everyone brings something. You do not need a polished pitch. You need a willingness to share what you know and to listen when it is someone else's turn.

What's shared at the table stays at the table

People open up about where they are stuck. That trust is the whole point. We keep it.

No selling, no pitching

This is not a room to work for clients or donors. It is a room to connect helpers. The relationships you build here are worth far more than any pitch.
